Howard Hoffen is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1985 and Morgan Stanley Capital Partners in 1986. He oversaw the private equity businesses of Morgan Stanley, including Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, Venture Partners and Global Emerging Markets. Mr. Hoffen was formerly a member of the Management Committee for Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
Mr. Hoffen is a director of Aqua Capital, Bostwick, Camin Cargo Control, Collagen Matrix, EnerSys, Hoffmaster, Jones Energy, Kissner Milling Company, Maxum Petroleum, Monarch Midstream, Northeast Natural Energy, Pacific Coast Energy, PetroSantander, Premier Research, PTW Energy Services, Reliance Gathering, Renewable Biofuels, and WorldStrides. Mr. Hoffen has also served as a director of Aegis Sciences Corporation, Allegiance Telecom, Amerin, Burlington Industries, Cantera Resources, Catalytica, Catalytica Energy Systems, Coltec, Concert Capital, CP Power, Direct Response, Healogics, Highlands Gas Corporation, Homesite Group, Interstate Natural Gas, Melissa & Doug, MeriCap, Mountain Gas Resources, Noos, Ocwen Structured Investments, Randalls, Somerset Energy, Tegrant, Triana Energy/Columbia Natural Resources, Union Drilling and Vanguard Health Systems.
Mr. Hoffen received a B.S. in Engineering from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
